In the last couple of years I've had the great dishonour of winding up purchasing some consoles and games that would be seen from the general public's eye as "a steaming load of shit".
Since my latest laptop computer had Microsoft Vista Home Premium's audiodg.exe take a steaming shit on the lap of my CPU, I've had no options to play TF2 or Neverwinter Nights 2 and instead decided to start playing these consoles.
While I have, in fact, accepted the first statement myself to a degree, I always take into account that despite how dodgy a console is, there is always something redeeming about it.
So I took an overly optimistic approach to gather some facts, then used my natural pessimism to shoot down the rebuttable arguments.

Console One - The PSP:
Undoubtedly the worst handheld console second only to the virtual boy. Why, you ask? Because despite a great capability for great gaming and entertainment capability was soiled by the fantastic variety of shovelware and 50 cent games. Out of the 15 games I have obtained I can only find a few that are good (and aren't ports of games I already have or know), these are:
- Popolocrois (which is technically a port of a psx game)
- DJ MAX Portable 2, Black Square, and Classiquai Edition
- Dissidia Final Fantasy
- LocoRoco
- Patapon

Then there are the turds, of which there is:
- Sonic Rivals 2 (imo, one of the world's worst games in existance)
- Untold Legends
- NFS: Underground Rivals
All packed full of NOT FUN!
There are few more games I have, but they're to mediocre to add mention.

I'm also shooting down the PSPs poor physical maintenance, it's not easy to get the dust from behind the screen. You need to take out the right screws and... its a really tiresome and difficult thing to do, because when you open it up and put it back together, it's more likely to get more dirt and dust in it.
I can't believe I sold my DS for this piece of horse crap. They finally started churning out games like Phoenix Wright and Trauma Center about a month after I sold my old one.

Next is the PS3. I really like this console, because despite the fact everyone thinks it's expensive, it really holds up its end of the bargain. Incredibly reliable, great 1080p HD quality, great features, free online play, good controller battery life. Almost all the games I have are terrific. These games include:
- Resistance 2
- Battlefield Bad Company
- Unreal Tournament
- Oblivion: GOTY Edition
- Metal Gear Solid 4

The only two games I have a real beef with are Little Big Planet and Guitar Hero World Tour, two of the most heavily advertised games during the christmas break.
LittleBigPlanet gets really boring after the 1P story levels are over, internet play is slow, sluggish and rather annoying. The level editor is fun, but I can't be bothered spending the time to actually make a notably playble level, I just make launchers and electric floors.
Guitar Hero World Tour is shit, the songs are shit, the drum controller is fragile, poorly put together and has a ridiculous amount of sensitivity issues. NO I DO NOT WANT TO PLAY THAT FUCKING BLONDIE OR PARAMORE SHIT.

Note that I was never really a Sony buyer, I was into Sega consoles at first. Games like Vectorman, Golden Axe and Altered Beast really took me back. I also still own a NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, and once owned a Virtual Boy (when I was young...) and a Sega Game Gear, which my parents sold at a garage sale a fair few years ago.

I still hate Sony to a fair degree, but I have to conclude that while people say that PS3s and PSPs are equally shit, I will say that my PS3 is definitely up there with my fav consoles, including NES, Genesis, SNES and N64, and that its really, despite how many fanboys troll about it, a decent console.

Mind you, I have no idea why I'm posting this stuff. I'm just really fucking bored. I think I might get some chocolate...
